Short Bio

Khethiwe Mhlope Ziwenjere has 11 years of experience as a Radio Access Network (RAN) planning, design, and optimisation engineer, having worked for major telecommunications operators and infrastructure/solutions vendors. A project management professional whose
focus is on exploring ways to improve network Quality of Service (QoS) and customer Quality of Experience (QoE) by using emerging technologies to deliver services that add business value. Khethiwe, a Mandela Washington Fellow, holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science, an M.Sc. in Telecommunications, and an MBA in Strategic Management.
Her current affiliation is with British Telecom and the MSCA INTEGRATE project, through which she is pursuing a Ph.D. with the intent to develop an open-source model to evaluate the viability of these new technologies for a mobile network operator. Her research interests include Integrated Sensing and Communication, Reconfigurable Holographic Surfaces, Wireless Communications Standards, AI/ML-driven Intelligent Networks, and the Internet of Everything.
