CentraleSupelec was established on January 1st, 2015, bringing together two leading engineering schools in France: Ecole Centrale Paris and Supélec. Today, CentraleSupélec has multiple campuses across the country: in the Paris region, Metz and Rennes. CentraleSupélec has 4200 students and 370 faculty members and researchers, who interact with CentraleSupélec global network: three international campuses (China, India and Morocco) and five associated laboratories (Brazil, Canada, The United States and China). CentraleSupélec has established partnerships with 176 international universities and 140 corporate institutions. CentraleSupélec academic and research excellence is nestled in cooperations with CNRS, CEA, INRIA, ISERM, ONERA. CentraleSupelec is part of Paris-Saclay University, which, according to the 2021 Shanghai ranking, is ranked as the 1st University in Continental Europe and the 13th in the world.
